If you’re flying directly from Canada to Cuba on a Canadian airline, the tourist visa is actually included in the ticket for your flight and so you don’t even need to apply yourself!

#2 – China

While applying for a visa to go to China is still a fairly involved process, if you do not plan on visiting for longer than 10 days then you can take advantage of China’s Transit Without Visa (TWOV) program.

In order to qualify for the 240 hour TWOV, you must ensure you are travelling to a different country than your original departure country after you depart China (so you can Travel from Canada to China to Australia for example, but not Canada to China and back to Canada), and that you are staying within one of the permitted regions (for the full list of regions see the TravelDoc response here. It includes most of south-eastern China), and of course that you are staying for less than 240 hours.
